The new Castle Hill Community Centre is located below the Library with its main access from the through site pedestrian walkway. The centre includes the Pioneers Room that is a large hall to seat up to 500 people and a group of smaller meeting rooms all accessed form a central foyer, which also serves the Early Childhood Centre and the Centre Management Offices.
The Pioneers Room is used for a variety of community and commercial uses including conferences, weddings and church services. It can seat up to 500 people in auditorium mode or 375 in banquet mode. An operable acoustic wall in to two smaller venues, each served by the adjacent commercial kitchen can divide the hall.
The centre also includes 6 smaller meeting rooms ranging from 200 to 50 people capacity which can be used and combined in varying arrangements. Some of the rooms are provided with sprung floors for ballet, dancing and active uses while the smaller rooms are used for more passive meetings and crafts.
